A week of dialogue between Islam and Christianity has been held for the ninth year by "Group for Friendship between Islam and Christianity" in France and many other European countries since November 12. |

Over 6000 Muslim and Christian scholars in 62 cities in Europe as well as Algeria commemorated the week discussing commonalities between the two faiths. Myriam Bouregba an organizer of the program in France says, "It is annually held in order to provide an opportunity for the followers of the two religions to have a dialogue on various cultural and religious arenas." "A major part of the dialogues has been held so far featuring issues such as trying to know others and to live a peaceful life with other societies," she added. "Some issues with global aspects have also been put forth by the group to be discussed at the meeting including Zionists’ aggression against Palestinians as well as the problem of social justice."
