Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), This is according to Mohsen Pakayeen cultural deputy of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO). He told that he had a meeting with Seyyed Jafar Musawi deputy custodian of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) yesterday in which it was agreed that the first Iranian Quranic week be held in Karbala by the ICRO in cooperation with the Astan-e Imam Hussein (AS).
He said prior to the Quranic week there will be other programs by the ICRO. They include sending Tawasheeh (religious song) groups to Iraq during the first ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.
“We have also invited Iraqi officials and Quranic figures to visit Tehran’s 18th international Quran Exhibition, the Rahmat-un-Lil Alamin Exhibition which features the traditions of Muslims of the world regarding the holy month of Ramadan, and the international Imam Reza (AS) Festival,” he said.
Mr. Pakayeen went on to say that the ICRO also has attended the cultural exhibition entitled “Labayak” in Karbala. “At this exhibition, 30 Iranian publishers have presented 250,000 titles of books in Arabic, Persian, English and Urdu.”
