--Director of the second Shia TV Channel of India announced that it is going to launch by the Islamic New Year (Muharram 1431).
According to Ava news agency, Indian Shiites will now have access to the second religio-cultural TV channel in the Indian city of Lakanhu, after the first one already established in Mumbai.
Hassan Khan, the network’s Director further added, “The channel was rendered operational in the Feast of Ghadir in the city of Lakanhu through the financial support of some benefactors and under the management of one of the eminent Indian Shia scholars. It will launch its extensive programs at the beginning of Muharram.”
“The channel aims at promoting the Islamic teachings and the instructions of Ahlul Bayt (AS); we hope it will be a major step in serving Shiism, along with the other Shia network”, he maintained.
Director of the second Shia TV channel of India added that a further aim of launching this network is to look into the Indian as well as the Iranian culture and civilization.
