Shiite cleric: Prophet’s birthday, a chance for reminding brotherhood

The leader of Friday prayers of Shirgah, Sheikh Mohammad Mehdavie urged Muslims from all Islamic sects and denominations to use the opportunity provided for them in the month of Rabi ul Awal for boosting unity and rapprochement.

Rabi' al-awwal is the third month in the Islamic calendar. During this month, Muslims from different faiths across the globe celebrat the birth of God’s final messenger, the Great Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The religious cleric beckoned to the current time and situation in which division between Muslims is being stirred up by governments and anti-Islamic groups, holding the third month in the Islamic calendar and Prophet’s birthday is an opportunity for Muslims and believers to remember their brotherhood and the prime importance of unity in the World.

According to Sheikh Mohammad Mehdavie, God Almighty has commanded all Muslims and followers of divine religions in his holy book of Quran to join their hands in unity highlighting, “The believers are brothers, so make settlement between your brothers".
