Uttering Shahadah (the two testimonies of faith), a Brazilian lady converted to Shia Islam at Imam Ridha holy shrine in holy city of Mashhad, Iran.

Fabiana Disosa converted to Islam by attending in the Management office of Non-Iranian Pilgrims of Astan Quds Razavi after she declared her readiness for embracing Islam.

Before uttering Shahadah, the Brazilian girl became familiar with the fundamental principles of the religion that is monotheism, prophecy, Imamate, resurrection, as well as the secondary principles of the religion that is prayer, fasting, Khums, Zakat, Haj, Jihad, commanding to Good and forbidding the evil, friendship and exoneration.

Fabiana also in a ritual married with Hussein Ali Abd al-Wahed from Iraq.

Noting that Islam is the best religion sent by God for the mankind and that continuously following the commandments of Islam guides to the felicity and salvation of human, Abd al-Wahed pointed out, “If the Islamic rules and commandments are exactly and perfectly implemented across the whole world, the security and peace will outspread and all people will reach their real happiness.”

Concerning the factors involved in inclination of his wife to Islam, he explained, “At the beginning of our acquaintance, I found out that she has a wrong and misled view about Islam and Muslims due to the negative propaganda against Islam and Muslims; so I felt obliged to introduce the real Islam to her as a Shi’ite Muslim and tried to encourage her to accepting Islam.”

“I asked her to come to Iraq so as to make her familiar with the realities of Islam but she did not accept; so we decided to travel to Iran. First, we came to Tehran and Fabiana was still hesitating to accept Islam”, he added.

“Upon our entrance in Mashhad and attending in the Razavi Holy Shrine, Fabiana became more resolved and confident in accepting Islam and finally converted to Islam”, he continued.

Director of Non-Iranian Pilgrims of Astan Quds Razavi also said in the ceremony, “I congratulate this conversion to this Muslim convert. This is an auspicious and blissful event taking place in the vicinity of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.).”

Noting that this office has formed with the purpose of rendering service and answering the religious questions, Sayed Jawad Hasheminejad said, “The office of Non-Iranian Pilgrims of Astan Quds Razavi in different occasions of the year sends cultural products to pilgrims who have attended in the Holy Shrine and have kept a continuous connection with the office.”

It is notable that at the end of the ceremony, a volume of the holy Qur’an, several books about Islam, and some cultural gifts were offered to the Muslim convert.
