The Quran Reciters' Society in Balochistan Province of Pakistan is actively involved in training Quran reciters and memorizers all over the country.
Fadhl Haqq, Secretary General of the society told IQNA that it is considered as one of the greatest Quranic centers of the province.
Founded about 10 years ago, the center has 175 Quran reciters and 70 memorizers of the entire Quran as members.
There are also many Qaris and Hafiz (memorizers) cooperating with the center.
Elaborating on the activities of the society, he said it holds courses on Tajweed principles, memorization of the Holy Quran and interpretation.
It has published tens of books on Quranic sciences and Tajweed principles in Urdu, Arabic and Pashtu, he added.
Various national Quranic competitions have also been organized by the society in Pakistan with the participation of eminent Egyptian Quran reciters such as Muhammad Tayyeb Hamdan and Mahmoud Al-Shahat, Haqq said.
He noted that some of the students of the center have represented Pakistan in international Quran competitions in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Haqq called upon all Muslims to follow the Divine order in this verse of the Holy Quran (Surah Al Imran, verse 103) which says: "And hold fast by the rope (covenant) of Allah all together and be not disunited".
