Quranic Exhibition to Open in Tatarstan

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, an exhibition of Quranic artworks will open today, August 15, in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan.

A number of Iranian artworks will be displayed at the exhibition named "Quran in the mirror of Iran".

The Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in Tatarstan announced that the Islamic Culture Museum of the capital city will host the event from 2 p.m. local time.

Quranic artworks and calligraphy works by eminent Iranian artists such as Seyyed Abulfadhl Abdullahzadeh, will be exhibited at the museum with the aim of getting people of the region familiar with Iranian culture and art, particularly religious art.

It has been planned by the museum in line with the project “Tatar and Islamic Rituals and Traditions in Russian Culture”.
