The requests of Imam Sajjad(s) from God for the days of the week:

The requests of Imam Sajjad(s) from God for the days of the week:

In “Mafatihol Janan”, Mohammad Qomi records the invocations which Imam Sajjad(s) used to employ daily during which Imam asked God for certain assets.

Sunday:

O God! Accept my prayers and fasting. And make tomorrow better than to-day for me. O God! Make me loved and respectable among my clan. O God! Protect me both during my sleep and in my wakefulness.

O God! Put me under your special protection and bring me to me end while you have cut me from others and have pardoned me because you are the Generous Pardoner.

Monday:

O God! Let my day start with righteousness, and end with delivery and prosperity. O God! Let your Prophet(s) be happy with me today and provide me with your ample assets and sustenance.

O God! Provide me with prosperity and make me obey you at the beginning and pardon me at the end. You are the only one who can pardon one's sins.

Tuesday:

O God! Correct and improve my conviction. This is because my conviction in religion will protect me against all hazards. O God! Correct my future records of deeds and provide me with a good location in the paradise.

O God make me prosper during my life-time and let my death be a means for getting rid of any evil.

On this day, provide me with three things: Do not let any of my sins get by unpardoned; Do not let any sorrow to stay with me; and do not let any enemy bother me. Please forgive me for any one of my wrong-doings and viscious acts.

Wednesday:

O God! Let me enjoy the Prophet's mediation and discourse at the Doom's Day. On this day, Let me have four talents: Let me be able to worship you; Let me enjoy serving you; Let me be fond of the resurrection day and let me worship you enough to get rid of mischiefs.

Thursday:

O God! Save me to-day against getting involved in committing sins and crimes and let me enjoy the merits of to-day and protect me against the evil and malevolence of to-day and other days alike. Please provide me with five schedules to-day: Let my day be filled with grace; let me enjoy your Blessings; let my health be used in your worship; Let me get involved in a worship which deserves your reward and provide me with abundant sustenance.

O God! Today guard me against terror and the cases of fright and protect me against depression and sorrows. Please send your praise to Mohammad(s) and His Household and let me enjoy His mediation at the Doom's Day. You are the Most Merciful.

Friday:

O God! Let me be sturdy in keeping up your religion as far as I am living. Keep me guided by your instructions and do not let me down. Let me enjoy your Grace since you are the Most Benevolent. O God! Send your praise to Mohammad(s) and His Household and let me be one of His followers and Shiites and let me rise at the Doom's Day among them. O God, let me succeed to carry out the obligatory prayers related to Friday since you are Wise and Honorable.

Saturday:

O God! Let me be thankful for your assets to the degree that you will be content with my gratitude. O God! Help me be persistent on worshipping you and make me be the recipient of your kindness. O God! Assist me to stay away from sins as far as I am living. Let me be reliant on the Holy Quran so that I may know and understand more. Please forgive my sins when I recite your book. Please keep up my health Do not let my associates get frightened by me and let me enjoy your Grace and Blessings to the last day of my life in the same way that you have been treating me in the past. You are the best Merciful.
