The Private Abode of the Sun
Andthe earth shall shine with the light of its Lord. (39:69)
Fourteenyears have past since the sad demise of a great leader, a leader whose smilewarmed the hearts of millions of Muslims and whose movement shook the world ofoppressors.
Yesthe world was a sad day when the spirit of Imam Khomeini (R.A.) departed for itsheavenly abode, but the light of the Lord still lives on, not only inIran but the entire world.
Onthis 14th anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini (R.A.) we wishto provide our readers with a special edition of Al- Tawhid. The following is atribute from this great Leader's son:
Inthe name of ALLAH, the Compassionate, the Merciful
In the world of beings, every atom has an outlet of its manifestation, inlike manner; its invisible core of mysteries contains a chamber of Seclusionthat extends from the earth to heaven. The sun, too, enjoys a Secluded heart inwhich love's consummating flares melt away all that seek His divine threshold,for there is nothing except that which is engaged in his glorification andpraise. Thoseaware of the Beloved's abode, the wise sages and Gnostics, have always wantedto define such consummations in the language of metaphor and allegory, since theinnermost imports of these "Salekan"(walkers) in His path defy description by tongue, they have resorted to allusionand interpretation and settled at that,
Hafiz says:
"The sun setting the skies on fire,
Isnaught but a flame
Concealedin my heart entire
Nilbut the Beloved
Canmy cloistered heart contain
Heart'ssecret abode
Norroom for antagonists to meet."
The guide, the preceptor master of our time, with aheart hurt by the vicissitude of life, the [verses] which he kept from us,concealed in his forlorn heart, has said:
"Drunkenin divine ecstasy
Inlovers secluded chamber
The"I"s and the "we"s cease to be."
By ignoring all features and aspects of materialbeing, he sees himself as being dissolved into and made one with the Beloved'sbeauty. He, (the master) who, allalone, carried the onerous ancestral load of pains and woes of guiding ourcentury's deceived and rebellious generation, to the last moment of hismaterial existence and who spent the last few nights of his life, as all others,in praise and glorification of God, maintained an impregnable inner seclusion, aseclusion whose consummating beacons of love and affection set the hearts onfire and its ascension make the hearts of his lovers melt away in tears and hisbereavement became a legend on earth
