The commander of the faithful answered him: O my dear son, I have only one heart which is filled with the love of Allah and I love you for the sake of Allah-namely, my love is only one, although it is in forms of two lights (love), four lights or more. It is only one light, in fact, it is the light of Allah which is shown in various lights.; I love Hasan, Hussein, Zahra, Zeinab and you only for the sake of Allah Almighty.
This is a truth; my love resembles the light we see now but it is demonstrated in two hundred lamps. We fail to prove that the nature of the light in different lamps differ; it is all one light. So we cannot make this light plural either in this world or in hereafter. We have only one light. In the heavens, "Allah is the light of heavens and earth"(AL-NOOR-35).
