Iranians rally to back Islamic Establishment

The rallies were held in 1,200 congregation points in all the 31 provinces of Iran on the eve of the eighth anniversary of '9 Dey Epic' which falls on December 30.

Millions of people took to the streets in Tehran and other major cities on December 30, 2009 condemning those who were involved in the unrests provoked by foreign powers in the wake of the presidential election.

The unrests were referred to by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as 'sedition' and the day of the public support for the Islamic establishment was called the '9 Dey Epic' (i.e., the epic made by Iranians in the ninth day of the 10th month of the Iranian calendar).

Anti-Israeli and anti-US slogans were chanted in support of the Supreme Leader and the Islamic Establishment.
